When the original image of this boat crossed my lens, the cloudy south Australian marina seemed intent on being photographically uncooperative.

Then the images started showing their potential in the computer. Although the actual method of transforming this rather prosaic image into a more poetic one will remain a secret, for the moment, the improvement is striking.

But I have this ...thing... about making photographic images into trans-photographic results.

Witness the "found still life" gathered earlier that morning. Cute. Interesting shapes. Odd colors. Might stand on its own. But never willing to leave good-enough alone, I took a hard look at my artistic license and, finding it still valid, went beyond the evident to the cruelly graphic.
